"The selection of drinks my husband and I did not feel bad!Not only the nice local staff was the absolute hit during our visit, but also the unique climate.The chairs are very comfortable and the distance between the places I find extremely adequate. There you get in no way the feeling of dining fish in the can evening.It's all through fine and we had a wonderful afternoon there."

"Op doorreis aanbeland in Achim om een hapje te eten. We twijfelden of we dat zouden doen bij Gasthaus Gerken omdat we nog geen beoordelingen zagen op TA. Maar het was bbq-avond (maandag) en toch maar gedaan. Aangenaam verrast! Omdat we een beetje vroeg waren, eerst bij de borrel een gebakken cammembert genomen met zn 2 voor € 7,50 (ja Hollanders he) maar gelukkig dat we dat gedaan hadden want toen kwam de bbq! (Voor (€ 14,50 pp). Zeer uitgebreid en bijv. heerlijk mals lamsvlees, kipfilet, versch aardappeldingen, salades etc. En bijna aandoenlijk zoals het personeel hun best doet. Bovendien heerlijk buiten op het terras gezeten (wel wat verkeerslawaai dat dan weer wel). Aanrader dus."

"Ich hatte gestern auf meinem Geburtstag, um 19:00 einen Tisch für 6 Personen reserviert.Die nette Bedienung machte und darauf aufmerksam, dass es 10 min länger dauern könnte, da sehr viel los wäre....Um 20:00 Uhr und 20:30 fragte ich an, ob man uns vergessen hätte; die Bedienung hatte mittlerweile so ein schlechtes Gewissen, dass sie unseren Tisch mied.....Um 20:50 sind wir dann aufgestanden und wollte die Getränke bezahlen; die Bedienung holte den Chef und anstatt einer kleinen Entschuldigung, wurde dieser auch noch pampig, drehte sich um und lies mich konsterniert stehen !!! Sowas habe ich noch nie erlebt !!!!!!"

"It is a great Greek restaurant full in the tradition and with the good quality of other Greek restaurants in this part of town. Just make sure you are there on time, otherwise you will have a hard time with all the locals trying to get a seat. And yes Greek food as it is served there contains a lot of meat. So portions a of a good size and almost always contains some sort of meat. Personally what surprises me each time is that the liver is always prepared in a way that makes it very tasty, not like in other places where you sometimes think you have a piece of rubber. If you don't know what to take... Go for the Kreta Plate or the Ouzo Plate :"
