What HDHT doesn't like about Avon Valley Railway Station Buffet:
I stopped by for a quick meal while out cycling for the day. Unfortunately, there were no gluten-free options on the menu besides ice cream and chips. Ultimately, I ended up having a Magnum ice cream for lunch. I would recommend avoiding this place if you have celiac disease. View all feedback.

When we arrived, we were seated in a cozy carriage with Christmas music playing and fake snow drifting past the window. Our family is diverse, with one member who will eat anything, two vegetarians, and a vegetarian with celiac, so sorting out the menu took some negotiation. However, on the day of our visit, the food was fantastic, the staff were friendly and helpful, and they helped create a lovely atmosphere. It was the perfect way to start our Christmas weekend, and we are looking forward to returning next year. This may become our new Christmas tradition!
I used to frequent this restaurant often and the food used to be consistently good and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, I have to admit that my recent experiences have not been as enjoyable. The food we had today was terrible - we barely touched it. I cannot fathom how it was even allowed to be served. It was drenched in grease and the mushrooms were completely inedible. I have been disappointed with my visits lately, but after today, I have decided that I will no longer be ordering food from this restaurant. I'll just stick to a cup of tea from now on.

We visited for the bitton beer festival. Daniel the chef takes great pride in his cooking and he was really nice and friendly! Food itself was freshly made and hot. We'd definitely recommend coming and supporting a local cafe!
I have been visiting regularly during my time off having a coffee and a roll on my walks. Can’t really fault it as it’s reasonably priced and friendly service and a nice venue to sit and chill out.
