"Great coffee and tea selection, iced or hot. Try their Dirty Horchata. Loved their desserts too, The Gooey Good, and Smores Dip were our favorite. Great place to just relax."

"My fiance and I did not stay at the Kahuna resort, but we found ourselves eating at the restaurant every day for most of our meals. Others who have reviewed this claim this restaurant is too pricey, but coming from California, I would have to disagree. The eggs Benedict were all-time, and at 250 pesos, how can you call that pricey? I pay 250 pesos for a happy meal at McDonalds in the US.The staff is amazing, always attentive and if your server is not right there, any other server is going to help you. They have a pool table, and they don't charge you extra to play like many others do in the PI.The view is great as you are right on the ocean watching surfers as you eat.The food was always cooked perfectly, and I did not have one complaint every single time I came here over the week I stayed in San Juan. The servers actually new mine and my fiances name after the first day we visited and this was pretty impressive. By the third day, they knew our favorite drinks. As I said, I did not stay at Kahunas, but the staff let me take photos of their family room so I can share with my thousands of readers here on Tripadvisor. If you want to learn to surf, it will cost you 200 pesos per hour, or 500 pesos for half day, 800 for all day, which is slightly more expensive then Siargoa. There is no snorkeling here, since the waters are not the cleanest in the world being next to a major city and shipping port.I hope you have enjoyed this review and feel free to ask me any questions!David B."

"We were in the middle of our road trip and that day, our final destination was Vigan. So we left Subic early and visited the Our Lady of Manaoag. From there, we headed to the Farm. It was a bit of late lunch for us...but we were excited to try a new restaurant that looked lovely from the photos we have seen on the web. Following Google Map, we easily reached the place. Although from the main road, you really need to slow down a bit to find the small signage pointing you to the small alley (just enough to let one car pass). After carefully maneuvering, we found ourselves in also a small alley were they said we can park our car. And so we did, very carefully. Our verdict: The place: Truly IG worthy! the way they decorated the place was really something. Although you can feel that it could be the first business venture of the owners because it still felt homey. The food: They claim that their food come from their own farm so whatever they serve you are either planted or raised by them. And honestly, we felt the authenticity of it. It took quite a long time for the food though, but maybe that's part of the experience? haha! Anyway, we enjoyed the food and the ambiance added to the whole experience. Since we opt for a table upstairs, we get to look at the literal farm outside the window while enjoying our late lunch. The service: I can't complain anything about this because although we felt that there was only one waiter, it was alright because it was only us when we came, and just later on joined by another small group downstairs."

"It was 4:00 PM, rainy day and we were the only customers in the restaurant. The decoration is folksy Filipino style. The lighting is sufficient. The menu is in Tagalog with a splattering of English. We ordered a pitcher of iconic ice tea, bbq catfish, their popular baby back ribs and pinakbet (mixed vegetables). The waitress mistakenly gave us 1 glass of ice tea. We had to remind her we ordered a pitcher of ice tea. They made the correction and brought out a pitcher of ice tea, but she failed to bring us any glasses. We had to ask for glasses. The special ice tea had little hint of being tea based. It was more like a Sangria sans alcohol. The base is lychee, diced fruit and a hint of salted plums. It was good. The catfish, ribs and vegetables were good. The ribs had a sweet sauce with buttered diced mixed vegetables. Quite good. The kitchen is located in a separate building from the dining room. It's located behind the parking stalls. I was concerned the raindrops would disrupt the taste of the food, but the waiter carried an umbrella in his other hand. The decor and food was good. There is parking, but I didn't see any security guard. Access is by private car, bus, jeepney (elongated taxi) or trike (taxi). I recommend this restaurant if you want nice ambiance and good Filipino food however they need to improve their service."
