called for a pint and something to eat, had the southern fried chicken sandwich and chips. the sandwich was great and the huh tasted good and was plentiful, cannot say the same about the chips, can not have been more than a dozen, but the meal came with a free softdrink. pub was clean, staff were great View all feedback.
What Andrew doesn't like about The Turnpike Bawtry:
So service started well greeted as me and my sister entered, got drinks an ordered food. Then from there it went down hill. Order 2 tikka masalas, the food came fast enough but was disappointed when it arrived. 8 pieces of chicken no bigger than a thumb nail that was like microwaved bullets, they served the dish with sour cream which was very weird. Lovely place, lovely atmosphere, nice music outside as well as welcoming staff. Would definitely come again especially in warm weather!
