We got a local tip to visit this place and surely enjoyed it. The food was local and very good. The relation of price and quality was good. We advise especially the tapas (pintxos or how they call it)... Everything was fantastic as you can see on the photos added of the bill and the food. Enjoy, it 's worth it. It doesn 't look 'perfect ' from the outside, but the food certainly is. View all feedback.
What StevTraveller doesn't like about Chez Txotx:
Rude, rude, rude. Never have I encountered such arrogant and rude service from restaurant staff with very little to be arrogant about. The food was average at best, and my advice to the staff is that if you feel the urge to stand and smirk or be snarky about the customers who are paying your wages, at least do it where they can't see you. It is almost unheard of for us not to leave a tip, but this was such an occasio... View all feedback.
Good location, by water, good atmosphere, party, typical decoration but a little questionable
We were going to this place to taste some of their tapas dishes and we really liked it. My favorite was the camembert fried in oven and the mussels. Nice place to visit.

The food was ok, very good in quantity but lacking a bit of sophistication. The restaurent is in a touristic setting, so the view is great but it was a little disappointing that the food didn’t match the location and ambience. To be specific, the magret de canard was overcooked and the fish was dry. The tapas were not made in-house. If you’re looking for a quick bite or are very hungry, this will work. Otherwise not recommended..
Basque food served with a smile and pidgin English. Delightful place with a gregarious host. We had tapas and gazpacho, then cod and lamb, followed by crème brulé. And plenty of it. Recommended.
