This hotel was half the price of another hotel in the area (Hotel Rex in Bad Wiessee) and much better in many ways. Decor very modern, especially in the dining area and lounge. The staff very friendly, down to earth, and helpful. The town is quiet and serene with a waterfall a few minutes walk away and several much longer hikes also accessible by foot from the hotel. The place also offers the possibility to sit outside and have something in beautiful weather, and there is no-charge WLAN.

What User doesn't like about Alpenrose Bayrischzell Hotel & Restaurant:
We stayed one night. Beds are ok and view out over the mountains are great. Staff was friendly at check in but we were a bit surprised to find out that our room was on the fourth floor and no elevator. Interesting to find our bathroom as a flash back to the 70s; brown tiles, brown toilet, small etc. But all in all, still quite ok for a night or two.
