Very clean little family restaurant. Very nice buffet with some not so typical products. The cooked okra dish and dirty rice are two of my personal favorites. I love the baked chicken and like the roasted chicken livers. Beautiful service and super sweet family that it operates View all feedback.

I haven't been to Hartz in probably 20 years because I preferred Popeyes and Kroger deli chicken. Well neither of their chicken is good anymore so I decided to try Hartz again. It was so bad I could not finish it. The breast meat wasn't white and my husband thought I was upset because I was given a thigh. I love her fried gizzard! They season their food. Many of their competitors chicken products are desperate for the season.
My food was nice and hot, the customer service is okay.
To be honest, I came to din two years ago and it was mediocre chicken. HOWEVER because of the last winter storm Uri, I came back when it was one of the few restaurants that were open and pushed me away. Chicken was fresh, cooked for perfection! Super crisp and warm and soft on the inside. Even the Pommes were not stabbed! I was very impressed with the overall quality. The staff was also humble and friendly. This place definitely won a repeat.
Delicious fresh hot food. The entire menu is good. I can vouch for it because I live close and it’s economical for me. The family has high standards and are very friendly with their customers. I support this restaurant.
The BEST Hartz Chicken to dine at is located at the 300 Block of N. Alexander in Baytown! Great customer service food is ALWAYS FRESH!!! #BelieveThat
