Great food at this quaint, old school diner located in a scenic and busy downtown. Good size portions of classic diner food. I recommend the Gyro Omelette. What User doesn't like about Yankee Clipper Diner:
The interior is way too glitzy and homogenized to be called an old school diner. I really enjoyed the Bison Burger and it was big enough to have leftovers the next evening. The potato salad was the blandest and most uninspired I have ever eaten. The bbq burger with bacon, the appetizers were delicious from this world! The place is beautiful inside and outside, and the staff care and attentive. When I return to Fishkill, I will definitely have to stop and enjoy some more delicious food.
I went to dinner with my friends and they brought me here. By far the best diner I've ever eaten! It's very clean in there and the service is good. But the food is amazing! I went back to breakfast a few days later and it was just as good! Definitively will come back
AUTION: DELICIOUS Breakfast at any time! Oh, man, I was so happy that we found this cool diner before our hike in Hudson Highland State Park. The brunch we had was delicious, filled and very generous. We had three separate commands: Nutella Banans French toast (aka sky on earth), buttermilk pancakes with eggs and bacon, and an order of the western omelette accompanied by rye roasted and Homefries Everything was made with love, almost perfection! This place is really clean, has friendly waiters, and a cool 1950s Diner Vibe go. We will certainly come back, even if it is only to eat! I wish more places would have this house like Style Diner. Just a head up, the coffee is also amazing! Bring the family and enjoy! Ps: The portions are large.
I wish I 'd known about this place sooner. Great 'broiled stuffed seafood combo '. Went back two weeks later and had it again. I look forward to going back again. My son had a burger which looked really good. I may get a burger next time.
Wake up and smell the coffee and enjoy what has to be one of the best breakfasts we had on our entire trip through the north east! Stayed in a local hotel and was offered take out continental breakfast so decided to walk to this diner and give it a go! Best decision of the day! Amazing server, brilliant food, clean restrooms beautifully decorated! The ABC of restaurant life making this a come to place. Sorry no photographs didn’t expect this to be so fantastic!
