"The owners have their heads here in the clouds. in serious, in recent years we have observed the price for a devastation, going from the reasonable $85 a person to now $220. it's beaconsfield to cry loud. how to price the whole area. the outer suburbs are not a prahran. I would prefer my rent in this week thanks"

"My partner and I haven't been here for several months but were Sunday lunch regulars for a while and the last time, we brought the kids with us for dinner.They absolutely loved it and since we were there in July, have asked a few times to go back, so that will happen shortly.Shams has been open for perhaps not much more than a year but it is a must do.The meats are cooked to absolute perfection over the hot coals, the smoke caringly fanned by the chef.The home made Afghan bread is incredible!The salads couldn't be crispier and the yoghurt couldn't be fresher.When you order a sit-down meal, you are served with an incredibly delicious complimentary, spicy chicken and vegetable soup.We usually order the mixed kebab plate which comes with two chicken skewers, a diced lamb skewer and a lamb mince shish skewer. This is served with a side of salad, the basket of Afghan bread, a side of yoghurt and the chicken soup to start with. All for $13 from memory.We also always buy an ayran drink to accompany the meal; we started drinking ayran while in Turkey a few years ago, which is essentially a bottled yoghurt drink.They also serve other delicious meals such as stews and rice dishes. The rice is similar to a biryani.The restaurant is massive and with large tables and is never packed.It is next door to the rear of Chemist Warehouse.You won't be disappointed!"

"Very friendly and speedy service. Cheap and very generous portions. Dumplings were freshly hand made, you can see there is a lady wrapping dumplings whole night. Love that beef in black pepper sauce."

"The food was great at this location, especially the Lamb cutlets listed in the entree so good we ordered more cutlets with our mains! Garlic naan was excellent, chicken curry was average. We visited on a Saturday at lunch, and there was one other table occupied. Disappointingly, however, I had booked a 50% offer through TheFork which was not honoured by the restaurant. The restaurant claimed that we had cancelled our booking, even though I am making this review in response to the promotional booking that I made. I showed the restaurant my active booking on TheFork app, but the restaurant did not accept this. I subsequently contacted TheFork and the restaurant numerous times, but both have refused to offer any assistance. Please note this prior to making your booking."

"We love this restaurant. We have been lots of times and have recommended to friends and family and also used it as an excuse to go with them to show them! However, we only really go for special occasions usually because it is quite expensive. Staff are usually very knowledgeable about the steaks and with any other questions you may have. Always nice ambience. Would definitely recommend"

"Great food and amazing service! We ordered the Parma and a burger and oh! the burger was so good, it just melted in the mouth.. so gooood! Parma and the drinks were great too. Would definitely come back."
