a great host, good home cooked eating and large portions from a varied menu, great beers, weeping and spirituous at an excellent price in a traditional old style pub with a kohlenkamin, I highly recommend a visit and if you have one then bring her dog View all feedback.
What Christine Williams doesn't like about The Travellers Rest:
Just been here for Sunday lunch. Never again. All veg was frozen. Roat potato frozen then chucked in the fryer. Beef was packet beef. Chicken breast was like rubber. We wasn't asked if the food was OK but I told the waiter Anyway and he just smirked. £14 each what a waste of money. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 View all feedback.
Had a nice meal with son and daughter-in-law and new son-in-law to the father's day. the meal was excellent quality, well cooked and very tasty. they also have a good choice of meal times. we had a private area so that the child car was out of the way. the staff was very helpful, pleasant and attentive, without being intrusive. Thank you.
Great traditional pub with friendly staff and a good selection of draft ales. Would recommend a visit if after a pub with character.
Traditional and welcoming old pub. Good food, good selection of beers and all the staff are really friendly. Dogs are welcomed and there's a free water dispenser and bowls for the dogs, and a dog treat box.
Brilliant Pub, friendly staff. The food is really delicious and the beers are well kept.
Traditional local pub. Friendly service. Great for watching the footy! Parking: If there was a car park we didn't see it? We parked at the bottom of the street next to the pub. It's not easy to find a space as it's residential parking. Price per person: £10–20 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Parking space: Difficult to find parking Parking options: Free street parking
