"This place is a definite gem. We've been going there for years, the first time being during a huge nor'easter in the early 1990's, when we were the only ones staying at the inn because it quickly became inaccessible! We were stranded there for 4 absolutely unforgettable days and nights. Imagine that experience with the wind howling and nothing but candlelight on the main floor (which is still the case today, giving it its unique charm) and the smell of soup simmering in cauldrons wafting out from the kitchen. Definitely go here. The food and service is amazing."

"This place is unique in a sense that it's in an old Victorian style home. The rooms are made into individual dining rooms which helps keep noise down while you eat. The food wasn't terribly impressive but the menu is large and there is lots to choose from. The French onion soup was good but it took a really long time to cool enough to be edible. The salad a guest in my party ordered did not arrive. The waitress removed it from the bill and apologized. The Tuscan Stromboli sounded good on paper but it was mediocre. The sausage was too crumbly and sweet that it made eating it difficult. It sound be larger pieces or a different style sausage so the Stromboli doesn't fall apart. The marinara that it came from was also too sweet and I added salt to both to try and equal it out. The chicken pot pie was very good but should not be advertised as such. It's more of an open faced pie where rh filling is in a bowl with a square of puffed pastry rested on top. It was delicious though, the cranberries were a game changer. I'd go again but be more selective with what we order until it improves."

"I went here for dinner tonight with my wife we were seated right away as a restaurant wasn't busy. We were read the specials and the meals we chose were excellent. Service was great. Food was awesome. We will be back again. I recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling or anyone for that matter."

"First and last time I will ever patronize this restaurant. Excellent food, good service but an obnoxious pricing policy. A skimpy (optional) basket of bread was $2.00 for 4 little pieces. It got better. We requested mashed potatoes instead of rice and WE WERE CHARGED $2.00 EACH. Interesting that mashed potatoes were already on the menu and included with other dishes. One of our group actually questioned the chef/owner about this charge and was rudely blown off. With drinks, meals and desserts, we spent close to $300. Why would I ever go back to this price-gouging restaurant? I won't. As the saying goes: one and done."
