this pub is on one of my bike paths and I always get a friendly reception. eating is simple and tasty. real ale was great. aergarten from the back. if they are a “fancy foodie”, it is probably not for them, but if they are looking for. a country setting, warm reception, pub food and a great pint, then it is bursting. Arrived 3:15pm on a Saturday after a long cycle and so too late for food as service was over and the chef had popped out. Bought a pint of cider and sat in the pub garden resigned to being hungry. A few minutes later the bar lady popped out to say the chef had returned and they'd do a special order for me great pub food and friendly attitude that makes me proud of our country!
