"We had breakfast here and it's such a lovely little place. You can also buy tea pots, twels, teas, books and quite a few knick knacks here. There is so much to look at and am glad we came here when in their non-busy period. Check out the owners collection of tea sets, it's impressive. I had the breakfast pancake and chai tea while my partner had the big breakfast. Really good and filling and homey. We look forward to trying the high tea here the next time we visit Beechworth."

"Charming and authentic country pub Greg (publican/owner) is a lovely host who provided us with friendly, relaxed and convivial service when dining at the pub (twice) recently. Food was delicious and generous in serving size. We tried the steak sandwich (tasty but be warned as it is huge), lamb burgers (loved these full of flavour and served in an excellent Milawa Bread Foccaccia) and spiced chicken served with a delicious crunchy salad. Fire was lit in the dining room and it was perfectly cosy. Very friendly, good food and relaxed atmosphere."

"Been here many times and thats basically based on the hype and tradition.<br/>Cant fault the pies of course because they are amazing.... however everything else is a let down. I ordered a wrap and friend ordered sandwich, very ordinary. <br/>Need to renovate the tired interior and although the service is friendly its basically nothing more than country folk hospitality, its very slow. would love to see this place shine as bright as the rest of the town.<br/>Conclusion: So much potential, not the best place to sit and relax. Feel like they have stoped progressing.<br/>Coffee should be better"
