I went to Taberna A Pipa with a couple of friends. The interior is nice with high ceilings. The food was nothing special, just good as you eat at home. They have a nice selection of local wines from Alentejo. Cheap but very good. We...were advised to try the red wine; Vidigueira Alicante Bouschet. Very good wine. After waiting patiently by the door with three hungry -yet well behaved- children for over half an hour the waiter who had pointedly ignored us the entire time; walked up to us and said we would not be served but could keep waiting.
