This has strong New England tavern vibes. Reasonable prices, filling and tasty food, very nice staff and a pretty nice drink menu. Meatloaf dinner was great and the salmon sandwich was AMAZING. It was clean and cozy on a weekday afternoon. It seems like it'd be a great friday night stop. Also the coleslaw was fresh made in house. It was great. We stopped into McCarthy 's for lunch on a Saturday and the place was PACKED! It was loud a bit chaotic inside, but it turns out they were hosting a Celebration of Life event so that explained it! It 's a gorgeous little spot with a strong traditional Irish Pub feel. The decor inside is fun sarcastic which I love! Now onto the food service. We ordered the Scallops Bacon that came with a horseradish mayo dipping sauce. The Scallops were small but tender and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The sauce knocked it out of the park! Next up were my Buffalo Wings that were spot on point and her Philly Steak-N-Cheese wrap which tasred good but was too greasy which covered the bottom of the plate. Definitely a Hangover Helper sandwich. The tables had entire rolls of paper towels which I thought was great! Made me feel right at home. We will be coming back for sure!
