"We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea. My wife is gluten intolerant and yet her afternoon tea nearly looked identical to mine. The service was excellent especially from Camelia who couldn't do enough for us. So glad the standards are still as high."

"I won a meal for two in a Facebook compition whichI was delighted with .my sisters law and I went to cafe Essence last Thursday night and we had a wonderful evening. Soft music playing in the background and the food was mouth watering.The guy who served us was very attentive couldn't do enough for us I had Lemon crusted cod,garden peas,hand cut chips ,homemade tomato salsa which was all beautiful ,Pauline had chicken chassaurwith veg and hand cut chips for dessert we both had warm chocolate fudge cake with cream we were both stuffed to the gills a truly wonderful meal a beautiful way to spend a windy Thursday night Cafe Essence is a jewel in Bangors crown I would easy give them 11 out of 10 for the food.thank you Cafe Essence for a wonderful night.x"

"My daughter visited for lunch on Friday She had a panini which came with a nice salad and she said it was lovely. I had the special which was a rocket, goats cheese and beetroot salad. It was absolutely delicious. We go to TLC...for lunch regularly but that salad was exceptional. Staff are always friendly and helpful."
