Contribute FeedbackA comprehensive review of a Belfast restaurant and health food store reveals a variety of experiences. While the health food store, The Nutmeg, receives positive feedback for its vegan options, desserts, and friendly staff, the restaurant disappoints with small portions, slow service, and burnt dishes. Despite a helpful server and a tasty dessert, overall recommendations lean towards avoiding the restaurant due to poorly executed dishes. The restaurant's lackluster service and disappointing food quality overshadow any positives, making it a less than ideal dining choice in Belfast. The Nutmeg, however, remains a reliable source of vegan and organic products in the city center.
The Nutmeg should be crowned forever as a business that has always been maintained. I've been visiting since the 90s when no one took care of vegetarianism, but the nutmeg did. It's a tiny business full of everything you could need.
Beautiful selection of products, many vegan products, cooled and packed. Non-dairy cheese, supplements, canned. Take some vegan sandwiches. I bought Love Raw treats and glasses from Northern Ireland-made Irish Black Butter. Both. Apart from Holland Barrett, this can be the only health food store in the central core of Belfast.
A tardis-like shop that's messing with vegan goodies. Has many of the well-known vegan alternatives. Not primarily a food service place, but has a small selection of sausage rolls etc. Friendly staff and always open to demand for products.
I'm a regular customer here and can't fault the place! Loads of vegan options, meat alternatives and great for buying spices and pulses. Sandwiches and sausage rolls are also great! Staff always very pleasant.
Like a time capsule, it's pretty much the exact same inside as it has been since I started going what must be 15 years ago. A jam packed health food shop, if you want a bamboo toothbrush, organic stuff, eco shower gel, teas of any description, dried nuts pulses fruit, freezer and oven stuff for Vegans or some snacks, come here. Remember hearing the guys from 387 ormeau had some connection to here? Anyway, quite handily located ESP if you're a tourist and need supplies. Doesn't have the extended range I need, but good in a pinch.
