A cute bakery that also has hot and cold sandwiches, paninis, crepes and coffee. Service is fast. Most of the time when we go, there's no line. Orders are taken promptly and staff are patient (with my occasional indecisiveness). Food is served usually in 20 minutes or less. They have indoor and outdoor options, and it definitely feels more spacious in the summer but winter could be cozy. I like the decor overall. Sof... View all feedback.
What salome doesn't like about The French Bakery:
Can't speak for the rest, but the baguettes are really bad, airy and dry, at premium prices. You can get better baguettes from QFC or Trader Joe's for less, don't waste your money. Service and atmosphere are nice though, if quite crowded. View all feedback.
This review is regarding the service. I've never eaten here before. I was excited to try a new place out. I stood in line and waited patiently for the person ahead of me who chit chatted with the cashier and took forever to order their food. When that person was finally done ordering, a group of young ladies came in and the cashier immediately started helping them and taking their orders instead of helping me, the person who was actually next in line. Don't go here if you are a person of any type of ethnicity. Apparently this place is for caucasion/ whites only. I will never eat at this place or set foot at this place or patronize a place that treats people like this
The French Backery located in the neighborhood of Crossroads, Bellevue WA is an excellent spot for really good and delicious pastries, sandwiches, and a really good selection of coffee, latte and the list goes on. On our family road trip in Seattle, we ate here twice. The quality of the food and pastry are soooo good! The staff was so nice with us! If we ever return to Seattle, definitely eating here is a must. Highly recommend it!!!
It's a decent bakery. A nice place to sit and chat, but the pastries are no better than what you'd find in any other American bakery. Somewhat overpriced for what it is.
I don't know what has happened, but the food quality seems lesser than from years past. We've been coming to this location for many years now, and while the staff is always great and the place clean and tidy, the food has taken a hit. My favorite treat has always been the salmon quiche, but they have gotten smaller, greasier and barely taste of salmon anymore. The crust is not nearly as light and fluffy, either. I hope they return to their previous recipe; I can understand why they might have had to cut some corners with the way prices are going these days, but it's such a shame.
Got their baked almond croissant and it tasted like medicine or some sort of chemical ish.
