What User doesn't like about Waterfront Tavern:
We ordered a Captain's Platter, Fish and Chips, and Calamari and Chips. Food arrived hot, but way too many fries and the calamari were these tough, chewy sticks. Fries were really dark, greasy and limp. Enjoyed their outdoor picnic tables seating area, staff was friendly, but food not so much. View all feedback.

This historic bar and restaurant on the Bellingham waterfront offers a nice menu with generous portions. They have an outdoor order window for takeout orders, as well as outdoor seating to enjoy the views. Across the street, there is a park with trails along the Whatcom Falls outlet to Bellingham Bay, where you can observe otters and possibly see salmon heading upriver to spawn.

I do not recommend this restaurant. The service is poor and the food is not good. I had high hopes for this bar, but I was disappointed. I have visited a few times, but the staff is consistently rude.
Avoid this place at all costs. The restaurant is extremely self-absorbed and neglectful towards customers, refusing to even serve drinks and resorting to insulting those who are paying. The bar they claim to have is...
