We stayed at Penalty twice in just over 20 days. The first time we tasted the tartare... really excellent, homemade panna cotta for dessert. The second time the undersigned opted for the cordon bleu, approx. 300 grams, excellent. My partner enjoyed some peeled prawns in curry with wild rice. Bread cake for dessert for both. What HC-Zurich doesn't like about Ristorante Osteria Penalty:
The restaurant is quite a bit uphill so not that easy to get to. Good view from the terrace though. The two vegan options are both tofu based, which I'm generally not a huge fan of, but if you want to try something different in Bellinzona it's certainly worth a go. I'm from Bellinzona and I had never eaten there because Bellinzona is full of restaurants. We ate: asparagus risotto with smoked bacon and Veal escalope in morel sauce with a side of rosemary potatoes and mixed vegetables. Excellent and delicious food.
In der Nähe des Bahnhof Bellinzona, 5 Minuten vom Zentrum befindet sich das Ristorante Osteria Penalty. Mit dem Besuch in diesem Lokal, trifft man immer ins Schwarze.! Essen, Service sind hervorragend. Es gibt auch Gerichte bei denen zarte Gemüter zusammenzucken: Schnecken, Frosch Schenkel zum Beispiel. Aber keine Angst, ob Fischgerichte, Pasta, Gnocchi oder Tessiner Spezialitäten die Qualität ist immer ganz hervorragend. Last but not least das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist für Schweizer Verhältnisse super. Auch beim Bezahlen behält man ein zufriedenes Lächeln es gefriert nicht. Und damit wären wir bei den Desserts: Wunderbar und nur für Eingeweihte: "JamDar eine Spezialität (Gelato) von Eolo, die es nur im Penalty gibt!
Authentisch und erfrischend ehrlich mit sehr guter Küche. Charmante, herzliche Chefin und sehr freundlichen Mitarbeitern. Der Champagner Risotto mit Gamberoni, war, wie von Patrizia und Hans empfohlen, einfach wunderbar. Ich komme wieder. Grazie e Buona continuazione
Starving and infestation led us to this simple ristorant with a mosquitoous terrace in the middle of the life of Italian roots. with view of balcony where the laundry flutters and lively communication according to tradition. we were kindly received and tried, despite heavier understanding in the speech. the food concentrates on fresh with simple ingredients and my gnocci were homemade. that was dessert was divine, most recently an ingenious espresso. I would like to emphasise the attention and the freshness, and we are coming back.
