"We have visited on many occasions and never failed to be impressed. A relaxing Sunday evening dinner on this occasion was everything we expected and the quality and choice of food excellent. This combined with discrete efficient service combined to made for a memorable visit. We will certainly return."

"This is billed as one of the best restaurants in Clifden. The owner, who happens to be the brother of one of the local taxi drivers whose services we used a lot, recently retired, and the restaurant is operated under license. Our meal there was decent enough: the food was fine, especially the grilled oysters we ordered for a starter. The mackerel paté was fine too, the batter of the calamari rings too thick. What is slightly irritating is the pace at which the food is served and I observed this not only st our table but also others. The time lapse between courses was barely 120 150 seconds. At that rate, you 're done within less than an hour, which is not, in my humble opinion, the purpose of a leisurely dinner. At the end, my wife asked who is the chef? . Reply you don 't know him . second question: Well where is he or she from., from Ireland? second reply No, from Hungary. We are all from Hungary here . My recollection from a visit to Budapest is that restaurants there operate at a slower pace."
