We walked into Belz for dinner on a Friday night only to find the town very quiet, including this restaurant. Even though it was quiet, the food was great and the service was very helpful and friendly. And the meals were well priced too.The crepes were great especially the desert ones with salted caramel and apples which I believe are a speciality of the region. read more.

What User doesn't like about L'Hippocampe:
We found the restaurant as we drove from one location to another. It was frequented exclusively by locals and that is usually a good sign. Sadly this is the exception that disproves the rule. The part of the restaurant we were seated in was unlit, which probably helped as the decor was shabby and desperately in need of a coat of paint; things went from bad to worse when I visited the toilet.
