Shady Elm Cafe is a place frequented by many locals and fewer travellers due to it's being tucked away. You can almost feel your blood pressure dropping as you sit under the big shady tree over the deck area. The food is consistently good, always healthy and delicious. What User doesn't like about Shady Elm Cafe:
Overnight in Benalla meant we sought out a lunch spot. The beautiful nursery setting was a great start. However when we asked for a menu we were pointed to a menu board.Strike one. The locals who came in got menus straight away. We decided not to risk anything ambitious due to there being only one staff member on duty who was too lazy to come out from behind the counter for us. The caffe is located in a beautiful garden and kindergarten where we sat was beautiful, shaded and surrounded by the trees in the garden, eating was very nice! the rhubarb cake is amazing! the staff is helpful and friendly!
What a great place. just a few minutes away from the autobahn. a cozy place on a cold winter day. the hotel is located on the back of a children's room, so the property is excellent. in the middle of winter and a very nice atmosphere. while the pumpkin and cashew soup sounded excellent, on which he was on Turkish brot, that was very tasty in the did and coffee good.
Peaceful and quiet setting in amongst a beautiful garden. Food was amazing and the ladies in the kitchen are friendly and helpful. Short distance off the Hume Highway. Highly recommend

This restaurant is located in a peaceful and serene garden setting. The dining experience was exceptional, and the women in the kitchen were friendly and accommodating. It is conveniently located just a short distance from the Hume Highway. I highly recommend this restaurant.
