Holbar - Bergen

Staff, comfort, quality, breakfast were all top notch. Since this was our first time in Norway, we had many questions. The staff was very accommodating. The amenities are not good. We felt pampered. That was the best international hotel we've ever stayed in.

The housekeeper cleaned my room very well and the bed was very comfortable. I never felt cold because the room is so well heated. I really like that they use wool blankets on the bed. Good selection of snacks in the minibar. Breakfast is great and the breakfast room is beautiful and relaxing. The manager and the people at the reception were all very nice to me. I had dinner at the restaurant Frescohallen and the quality was very good. The location is easy to reach from the airport and from the center

We loved this hotel and want to come back one day. The location is fantastic and close to the port/Pieer as well as the light rail to the airport and the Bergen railway station. It's very walkable. The room was very nice and clean. Breakfast offers many options. The staff was very helpful and friendly. You could even book us on Valentine's Day in a restaurant on the water.

Not worth the price! I'll start positive. Great location! Very close to the port and old part of the city. Building itself is historical and have good restaurants. Reception 24/7, but you would expect this in 4star Hotel. Unfortunately, I would not return to this hotel. The rooms are beautifully designed, but the bed is very uncomfortable, they have two separate single beds that slide pretty heavy and light down that wakes me up at night. Cushion soft and not support neck / head that keep me in pain all. I think they use a special collection of soap and body lotions, but it's just not my taste of fragrance so I don't enjoy it. The biggest problem is ventilation, the room is not warm. Which of course receive the electric heating which is difficult to regulate at night. The establishment of the hotel is also strange. It took us age to go to our room and I really didn't cost it. It should be a better design inside. I don't want to run miles to get out of the hotel. Overall, I wouldn't give it 4 stars. There is not even a bottle of water free in the room. Yes towels are available and refrigerator with things to buy, but that's it. But no extras. No special touches. We have booked rooms and are also looking forward to breakfast. But they weren't spectacular either. Hot section pretty cold. Cold section had a nice selection. Chia seed pot was a winner! Coffee wasn't nice and cold.

Good quality hotel with great staff. Limited facilities open as we visited over the Christmas break . Food and service excellent. Rooms not huge but sufficient. Location excellent. Easy walking distance to restaurant coffee shops and bars .
