We had dinner at La Scala on our first night in Bergerac and although we enjoyed our meal, felt that the meat wasn't cooked to our liking, my partner had lamb, which was tough and over done, I had duck, which was OK but nothing special. What User doesn't like about La Scala:
We ate there in June on a very pleasant evening. The location is excellent as is the service. Our waiter was very welcoming and helped us understand our dining options. I chose the steak with my wife opting for the lamb cutlets. The steak was cooked as ordered and along with a potato salad was very nice. Everything was very good and the waitress upstairs despite the world. all alone for all the tables, I pull my hat and I tell him a huge bravo. I highly recommend.
Good- the Duck was excellent and perfectly cooked. The Bad- fish and chips had no chips but potato rosti on complaining was ignored, Coke Zero came as Coke Light and service was average- not recommended when there are several other restaurants within metres of this one.
We were happy with our experience here. The food was good and the staff was very friendly. We had to remind twice about forgotten items, but they were very busy. Overall, we found it a good value for money and would return for lunch.
A real heartburn, La patronne is a real professional of the entrance to the dessert of the more than generous portions, A marvelous reception true ambassador of the Périgord, kitchen made house with very good local products. I'm not talking about the excellent leader! the passion of the profession embodies this establishment thanks to your professionalism so rare! My husband, after a very old restaurant, was able to describe this place as wonderful. !
It's always as good. Nice frame. The staff is kind.
