We came to this restaurant thinking that there would be surely a vegetarian option. There was nothing but meat and fish on the menu. Fortunately they made me a delicious seitan and vegetable stir-fry. We tried some bio local wine (Pécharmant) but it was too young and not very good. The dessert and coffee were very good. We had a fish meal which was described as sea bass, admittedly the waitress had extremely limited English but we were surprised to be served with a dish of risotto with small pieces of fish in it. That would have been acceptable except that the fish had been cut up badly and was full of bone fragments, don't really understand why as sea bass is so easy to remove from the bone, it made for very unpleasant eating. A great discovery that will allow you to change your cuisine in this region. Here the cuisine is homemade and local products. The waitress is smiling and friendly (the boss too!! which adds to the pleasure of having lunch here. Best wishes
Small vegetarian restaurant which offers two starters, 2 main courses and 2 desserts every day. It's good and plentiful, for a reasonable price. Since it's small, there aren't many seats between tables and it's best to make a reservation to ensure you can try their cuisine.
We booked a table, as I wanted to make sure we ate here during our stay. Being vegetarian it can be quite tricky finding somewhere suitable in France. We also thought that they offered non-vegetarian dishes, but this was not the case on our visit. We had the €20 menu, which had a choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts, with a bottle of water and 1/2l carafe of wine. All very seasonal. We ate inside as the weather was a bit changeable, although the outside terrace is very pretty. The owner ? was very disorganised as he fetched the drinks menu and then we waited ages for the food menu, which was actually the blackboard from outside! We had an enjoyable meal, and when DH declined a starter the owner fetched him a compimentary salad he's not a salad fan, so it was quite amusing as he tried to move it onto my plate, without offending the owner! Would definitely recommend to any vegetarians in Bergerac, but not those in a rush
Kitchen with quality products, served in good quantity, fresh and local, quite affordable (19th entry/plat).3/4 of the vegan card, otherwise the rest is vegetarian. Manager.e.s are also very friendly. Go!
Excellent dishes, vegetarians and family! Uncontournable in Bergerac!
