The expansive menu offers flavorful dishes, perfect for pre-theater dining. While some dishes were not to everyone's taste, the overall experience was pleasant, making it a destination worth returning to. The historic building enhances the ambiance, adding to the traditional feel of the establishment. For those seeking a quiet, delightful Indian dining experience, Namaste is a solid choice in Berkeley.
Restaurant is too small--only tables. however, the food was fabulous and worth the wait. service was congenial and we enjoyed ourselves.
Ran out of food on buffet. Didn’t get to eat much and no reduction in the price. Poor value
The waiter dropped the water a When serving my friend and pretended he didn’t notice. I passed the napkin and not even then did the waiter made any attempt to avknodledge he had just spilled water. The couldn’t eat the chicken curry, it was dry and yucky tasting. And expensive! I had a couple bites and it was so bad no one wanted to take it home. e
I have eaten at Namaste twice. The food and service are excellent in this beautiful restaurant. Once I was with a friend from Bangladesh who stated it served authentic regional cuisine. Although Berkeley is full of great restaurants, the outstanding feature of this restaurant is that it is really, really quiet (due to extremely high ceilings so conversation is easy for all patrons at a table for six or eight. Although the truth is that our group was at the restaurant from to when there were relatively few patrons so the noise level was low in any event. However I believe it would be relatively quiet even when truly busy. Highly recommended
Food is delicious, quick and friendly service, and nice atmosphere with big space and high ceiling. Highly recommend!
