In the 4 years I've lived here I'm not sure why it took me 2 years post grad to finally try this place out. I'm confused. THIS PLACE IS THE BEST SUSHI PLACE IN BERKELEY. I absolutely adore the Lion King roll and holy cow the chirashi and even the maki were just amazing. Honestly this place has singlehandedly convinced me to move back and die in the Bay. Nanayiro is a nice Japanese restaurant in Downtown Berkeley. They have huge glass windows and a very pleasant atmosphere. The service was good whenever left, fill the water, if necessary and prompt. Prices are quite expensive, although I think that all sushi is usually expensive anyway. They give miso soup along with a small salad type thing before any meal.
