After hearing about this point from my vegan friends for some time now and it was not disappointed! They moved to the right to only a fantastic location with a beautiful community backyard. Bacon Mac was great. My favorite dish from my orders. Make sure you know what you want before approaching the order desk. They don?t have menu available at the desk. Long line behind me, so I just ordered things that I remember by glancing at the Yelp earlier. View all feedback.
We came from Richmond, VA to Oakland for a work trip. When we were planning our stay, The Butcher’s Son kept coming up as one of THE vegan spots to try in the Bay Area. Suffice to say, we were not disappointed!!! The staff, chefs, and owners of TBS should give themselves HUGE props. Hands down some of the best vegan food we’ve ever eaten. Pictured are the buffalo chicken sandwich (seriously, get this) and the vegan reuben. Our meal was so great that we got dessert to-go! Hope that we are able to come back someday and enjoy this deliciousness all over again.

The vote is in, my family says 5 stars and I agree. We’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, so glad we made it happen today. Left to right: fried tofu sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, buffalo fried chicken sandwich. Tons of delicious flavors and textures. And there are so many other items to try including some yummy looking desserts.
Some of my favorite vegan food of all time. So many dishes you can’t even tell a difference from an animal product version, amazing quality! So many options too and they were all good the three times I visited during the Bioneers conference.
It's hard for me to pass up a Reuben, but instead I ordered the Killer B.L.A.T.. All in all, there was a great compilation of ingredients and flavors. However, the mock chicken patty was a bit spongey and filling, and the All Vegetarian Inc. brand bacon is amazing, but better when crispier. I truthfully would have been satisfied with a smaller cutlet to let the other ingredients shine. The bread was toasty on the outside, but did not have the structural integrity required to wrangle in all the goodness inside. Additionally, he garlic fries were delicious. Plus, there's an extensive menu for their fries and its accompaniments. Overall great taste and service with a nice little lunch bar seating at the front to watch the world go by.
