Chez Dang - Berlin

I must have been here over times! Minimalist, cozy and unpretentious. The food is Vietnamese with a slight CambodianLaotian twist. The place is fantastic for vegetarians as pretty much everything on the menu can come with tofu rather than meat. The prices are cheap,...the service fantastic, the restaurant is clean yet rustic... and English menus are available for non German speakers. Always pay attention to the daily specials too if eating at lunch time! Starters can be on the large size, so I'd only order these when you are really hungry

There are plenty of Southeast Asian restaurants in Berlin. Many are good, a few are excellent. Chez Dang is certainly above average. I like to eat there because the food is tasty and the value is good. I prefer the place for lunch, but it's...also fine for dinner

I’ve been in Berlin for weeks and have tried a few AsianThai places and this one is the best I’ve found so far. We ordered the “Lucky Bags” which were chicken won tons and the “Chicks on sticks” which was chicken satay for starters...and both were gorgeous. For mains we got the Red curry with prawns “color of love” and chicken fried rice “mr. pan”. Both mains were delicious, fresh and piping hot. We didn’t finish all the chicken fried rice and a member of staff was nice enough to get us a tub to bring the rest home. Service was great and the food was delicious, will definitely be back. Also there is outdoor seating available. They also do takeaway. Only photo I got was of the red curry when I was nearly finished

I went there on the of May at night and I’m pretty sure that they must have a busy day. I ordered Noodle with Prawns and when I ate the Prawns I realized that some of them were cold inside and a bit warm...outside. The Prawns must have been preheated before and they were not freshly prepared. Actually I started to worry during the meal and I should have left the dish on the plate. I almost didn’t make it back home when I got sick. Today I spent the entire day in the bathroom and I am sure that it was because of that dish

This might not be ‘top of the world’ yet but it’s a beautiful place with really large food drink menu of delicious Indochinestyled and Asian traditional cuisine
