What Mathilde Freund doesn't like about Choko-Cafe:
... this is a nice café, offering good ice cream a rarity in this area of town and cake. What remains a mystery, however, is why the staff has to be so superbly unfriendly (even by Berlin standards, where things are often a...bit rougher than elsewhere). To provide an example to give more substance to this claim: I recently had a coffee there on a hot day and asked whether I could simply have two cubes of ice for my coffee. Do not get me wrong, I am not talking about ice cream, but two plain ice cubes from the freezer. The lady working there agreed, but charged 0.5 Euros for that, explaining with thin lips that this is the way they did it there. There is definitely room for improvement on this front.
