Thoughly recommend this authentic Indian restaurant serving delicious freshly prepared traditional food. The staff made us very welcome an catered for our party of 12 people. We asked if we could have some onion bhajis as they weren't on the menu and were delighted when 12 freshly made plates of bhajis were served with delicious sauces. One was very hot and gave us a nice surprise! View all feedback.
What L doesn't like about Happy Buddha:
I picked chicken curry and I would be honest: if you expect to have high quality/authentic flavors.. this is just not the place. The staff were friendly, portion was accurate but the chicken was on the edge of being industrial, curry was so basic I would easily imagine it wasn’t made by the staff. View all feedback.

Absolutely bland, no favor no nothing. Only then canned or frozen food was good. And also thanks for the beer after hours. I think they knew their food is not quality. I am Indian and have eaten at my fair share. This is far to be the worst Indian food in the planet. Their channa masala with rice, would end up being in some jails around the world for prisoners to eat. But this jail food would not even be allowed to serve to the inmates here of how bland it is. Avoid at All COSTS
For the lunch price of 8.90€ I had channa masala, which was chickpeas in tomato sauce and zero masala taste. Out of all the Indian restaurants I tried in Berlin this was by far the least spicy, even though I ordered spicy. I left really dissatisfied, there are better options in the area.
The chaps are friendly, and you can sit on a small truck on the street, too, thats where the fun ends. We were super deeply disappointed by what was served as Indian Food: A bowl of rice, a bowl w sauce, red, but lacked any refinement, tasted as from glas jars you can buy anywhere in the world, and a lack of any lamb or chicken. Actually, the the food was fatty and we hence did not finish.IF you have ever eaten true Indian food, or have travelled India or Sri Lanka etc, simple advice - DO NOT GO, pass this place. avoid. I am not sure if it has a following with locals who do not know what Indian food is and take it as granted the way it is presented, but again, THIS IS NOT Indian food. And I think the proprietors Know it.
Chicken was like it came from a can, the texture was nothing like nice chicken. Sauce was nothing special, worst meal in a long time.
