Jinny's Sushi - Bern

I ate several times there and the Bibimbap was made fresh and really tasteful, served within 5 minutes. The staff is very friendly and you will definitely feel welcome when eating there!

This is one of the few places in Bern that serves sushi (sushi boxes) and I was very excited to eat there! Unfortunately, it does not taste like the real offer and is overpriced (also for Switzerland). I went twice with a long break in between, so decided to try again The second time I went with a 1/2 price voucher and honestly would not return for this price for her sushi too. It was only really disappointing and not filling in. In the sushi boxes there are quite a few pieces with real fish, and the salmon is smoked salmon instead of fresh (not mentioned in the menu). That makes the sushi very salty. There used to be 'meat cheese' sushi in every box, which fortunately they don't seem to do anymore. Maybe the other dishes are better... The service itself is friendly.

Can't say enough about this beautiful restaurant!! This is a Korean/Japanese restaurant that is open only during lunchtime in weekdays. Your main menus are Bibimbap and Maki (Sushi) reels, but I also love their curry udon and dumplings! The food is fresh, tasty and affordable! The place can be overcrowded during peak times (about 12), with people dressing with their own bowls to get their portion of bibimbap. The owners are also very friendly! Very recommended.

I tried sushi from Jinny's sushi two weeks ago. During lunchtime, two Asian women asked me to try a sushi. It was sooooooooo super!! After trying beef sushi I came to the restaurant and bought the same I tasted before. Small package of this sushi costs CHF10. The smallest box costs CHF 7.50(price for students: I ate it in a garden outside the restaurant. The garden was amazing, not so large, but a well-maintained garden (has a small pond with lotus flower: I would like to recommend this restaurant if you want to taste fresh and inexpensive sushi.
