Nice local worth re trying (had some financial problems and closed for a while). Wine selection looks good but haven't tried. Beer range is reasonable, some crafts. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Volunteer Pub:
Went to pub when walking in the area with 2 friends on the basis of it being a recommended Camra pub on arrival found it sold only Doom Bar and Old Speckled Hen not the most inspirational Beers. We settled for 3 pints of the Hen which were cloudy, vinegary and smelt way past their best. Was told by barman in was “a new barrel” beer tasted awful , we left after 15 mins and will not be returning … View all feedback.

Great small pub lived in area for 32 years 1st visit. Great pint of Guinness!!! Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
