Great skiing at Big White. We had a wonderful Christmas in April with over 30 inch new snow in a week. Terrain is brilliant from beginners to world-class expert. Steeps, stunning views, tree skis, blue crosses and large terrain park there is something for everyone. I love the Bubble chairlifts with heated seats. Huge! You need several days to ski the whole resort, there are many different terrain and excellent lift and staff. The mountain is beautiful and you have to go up when it is a sunny day! The base is not very good this year, considering that it already March, I am on rocks several times when skis on seemingly untouched powder. Very easy to find, parking and shuttles are very common when you park far from the main square.
The Huntley Lodge is very nice and comfortable. The pool/hirlpool area is beautiful, but the jets were not in one of the hot tubs. Breakfast was great! Many decisions and a great meal to start the day. The Peaks Restaurant and the Cabin Bar Grill were excellent. Great dinner at both. Loved the Exchange area to get a quick bite, drink, and pick up foods, but the lines for checkout was long and slow. The demo shop was great! Very friendly and competent staff. Ski valet boys were friendly and attentive. Skiing was fantastic! Lift staff was great! Bad Bell people did not ask if we needed help with our bags when we arrived. We were not on the ramp to roll up our bags. The check in person had a bad attitude and was not helpful. Problems not solved, especially for those who are first timers. Much room noise from above. Walls and ceilings do not restrict noise well. Many misleading and miscommunication of ski rental shop when returning ski equipment. Ski instructors are great, but more helpful if you are either asked to help or be paid for a lesson. We had a great time at Big Sky and would recommend it. I think it may be necessary to have an additional training in soft customer service skills.
We stayed at the lodge and had a great experience, the breakfast was delicious. First time in MT and not much snow for December, but still decent conditions. Loved her new lift, so comfortable and easy to get up and down. Beautiful hot tubs in the lodge, but you are limited to the hot tubs in any building where you live.
Big Sky is my home mountain love riding there. The variety of runs and different levels of skiing will make sure everyone has a great time. The food and drinks are on point as well, and hanging out in the lodge is always fun. If you want to stay in Big Sky there are all sorts of accommodations. Can't wait for the next amazing season here!
