"We stayed with 4 people in the Yellow House, which is beautifully located in the old town of Eltville. The house is an old building from the 17th century. Century, beautifully renovated and offers a nice backdrop. Largest trump is surely the covered terrace overlooking the vineyards on the Rhine. Here you can also sit comfortably outside if the weather doesn't play like that. The wine is good (recommendation: the semi-dry Riesling selection Yellow house but this is also expected in the Rheingau. The food (rieslingsüppchen, grillsteak or pigs Lende and salmon were qualitatively absolutely fine, but without special subtleties in performance and taste. The price performance ratio is fine, but I would like to consider the food as an average. It was annoying, however, that in the late afternoon we had reserved the table for the evening, so to speak, under the butt. On our question whether we will be thrown out, the service explained that would be so .I don't just think to ask if you still stay or if the table is available from the time in question, would surely be more friendly in the classical sense. Conclusion: A nice location to sit outside with beautiful views and one or more glasses of wine. In order to eat, we would no longer visit the Yellow House."

"We are SO glad we found this place! Staying in Rüdesheim, we took a 3 minute train down to Assmannshausen for dinner. This place can do every pizza gluten free, and my coeliac husband said it was the BEST gluten free pizza he had ever had. It looked so crispy authentic! My vegan option was a delicious oil based spaghetti with chili, garlic, tomatoes and basil. Absolutely delicious. Our entire meal pizza, pasta, 2 drinks and a bottle of water was under €30. The owner had the biggest smile I’d ever seen and our waitress was lovely. Such a happy, ambient place to have dinner. Highly recommend."

"We had a special event dinner at the burg klopp and I was very impressed. we went up from the NH hotel and the ascent to the castle almost killed some of the party. They served gluh wine on the (very cold)...terrace with views over the city and then an excellent 3-course buffet. that was not the standard service, as the company has booked the whole restaurant, but I was impressed by eating. I am a fisherman and the offered options were excellent. acoustic it is painful to be in a room with 80 people who speak at once, but that is to be expected. it is a beautiful old building with fantastic view."
