I don’t have one bad thing to say about my experience here. Everything was delicious. Everything was made to order. Small batch goodness here in the south. GLUTEN FREE YES! I couldn’t believe how easy it was to find and to park. They have a huge lot. Great outdoor space. The inside is cute and quaint. Everyone enjoyed the space, the service and their food. What Deztanity Williams doesn't like about Eats Highland:
The owner is really sweet but the food was not what I hoped for. The fish cakes were really good, but that is all that I was impressed with. The cole slaw was not the best and my husband had enchiladas and the chicken was really tough inside. We ordered one fish enchilada to give it a try and it had a very strange chemically after taste. We left the restaurant still hungry. View all feedback.
It is unfortunate that they had to close. EATS was always reliable, flavorful, and the staff was friendly. I will definitely miss them.
They cater to dietary restrictions as everything is gluten-free, and they also offer vegan and vegetarian options.
Make sure to order the fried green tomatoes! The hamburger steak was fantastic too. I was too full to try anything else. The staff is very friendly and I will definitely be returning soon!
We visited this restaurant for the first time today and had a great experience. We ordered chicken tenders, fish cakes, and pulled pork with sides of red potatoes, fried green tomatoes, and Mac & cheese. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the Mac & cheese - we wish we had ordered rice instead, as it would have paired better with the pork. The seats were not very comfortable, but it seems to be a common style in many restaurants. The place was quite busy during lunchtime, but we were fortunate to have arrived early and avoided the rush.
Make sure to order the fried green tomatoes! The hamburger steak was also amazing. I was too full to try anything else. The staff is wonderful! I'll definitely be returning soon!
