Only came for a quick bite but I thought the chicken saag I ordered was excellent as was the baan bread. The young man who served me was so polite. Exceptionally nice service! Incredible value too. There is a very good offer for dine in for 2 at the moment. View all feedback.
What Carlie Ellis doesn't like about Banu:
First, this restaurant is not licensed and does not allow customers to bring their own drinks. The staff is friendly and attentive, but unfortunately the food is not impressive. The poppadum, naan bread, and rice were good, but the curries were bland and very oily. It appears to be a very old and tired restaurant in need of some tender loving care. View all feedback.
Ordered a take away huhka rogan josh absolutely beautiful not too hot leaves from huh and how I like it
The website and the lit up sign outside said it had a licences bar. It does not. They took our food order before drinks order so by the time we were told they only had soft drinks, it was too late to leave. If we...had known we may have still visited. However they lied purposely and covered it up on purpose. Dreadful dishonest behaviour. The restaurant was very cold. Service was ok. Food was ok not very nice. A bit bland.
The food here is totally disgusting! They do not follow simple instructions. The main guy is also rude when things don’t go his way. When trying to explain that this is the wrong dish, the guy in the white shirt started to kiss his teeth...and huff and puff making my partner feel very uncomfortable. It is shame that Banu’s use to be really nice restaurant pre-lockdown. But, now it is very appalling. Restaurant food has gone down hill.
Was back in Birmingham for the evening and, having fond memories of Banu from a. Few years back, thought I'd give it another try. I was not dissapointed. Really great curry house, and for pleasure per GBP beats anything you'll find in London!
I was looking for something a little different for my evening meal and found it at the Banu Very friendly staff and great service Food fresh and cooked to perfection I was really impressed with the flavours It’s definitely worth the visit
