What User doesn't like about L'Auberge du Lac:
service completely at the pickup, the waitress asks us what we want without giving us a card, at the end of 30 minutes we ask the card finally!!!!And there it is the drama, our dear waitress installs a couple behind us, the man asks a ashtray and you know what he gets it, incredible but true, all the other customers come out to smoke and smoke it just behind us with my daughter Too bad because the frame is nice, but... Eating after visiting the citadel. It was a little late, maybe 2pm, but it was still pretty busy. I have read reviews that no one has spoken English there, which is good. We always manage to show or translate Google etc. The outdoor terrace near the lake was pretty, but that was nice. The employees were rude, did not want to try to help us always send about different waiters bc obviously nobody wanted to talk to us bc we only speak English. We tried to be pleasant and not rude. After we had finally ordered, we had the chance to relax and it was a nice day out and the lake was nice. The food came. First they took my men spaghetti from a buffet that they were in the process of closing, so it sat for hours and warns hot. They calculated him 14 euros for the buffet, although the rest of the buffet was closed or closed and he had no access to anything other than the one bowl spaghetti. The pizzas themselves and the son ordered were really so sweet. Other son ordered fried shrimps that came out as some grilled shrimps w/ veggies on the top of the pasta for 15 euros. He said it wasn't bad, but it didn't eat much. Overall, if you just want to go, a glass of wine or a piece of cake enjoy the atmosphere be probably a great place, just eat elsewhere.
Near Bitche otherwise difficult to reach: A restaurant that opens on Sunday! Lunch and dinner served 24 hours. Beautifully located on Forrestsee, you are invited to take a walk on the shore before you can find your table in the fine and sometimes whole French cuisine. Service is very switched on and speaks French, good English and even German. Wines are excellent and even Alsace beers are excellent. The prices are fair.
The reason why my note is not 5/5 because the table was dirty and one of the glass cups was broken at the edge. Shame! Surprising because the kernels were very delicious! The view of the lake is also beautiful. Could be a wonderful place, but the manager obviously sleeps there...
The restaurant is situated just near a lake, and has a big terrace in the summer with view on the lake. It gives a great atmosphere to the place. The food is really good. I especially love the pizzas and tartes flambees! And if you order the plat du jour (today 's special), you 'll get all-you-can-eat starter buffet with it! Also a nice restaurant for families with kids: they have a kid 's menu and delicious ice creams!
Pizza, beer and wine....and a large pond and playground for the children to explore! No English speakers, but a great staff and solid food make it good. Appropriate prices and super outdoor seating area!
