"McDonald's Blackwater. First time in a long time I've had all the burgers and fries, hot! Yes I waited a little longer, but wow, it was good. Burgers had the right amount of sauce, we're hot and tasty for a change. My fries were hot and crispy. Congratulations to the team there. You guys and girls prove that not all Maccas are the same! Thank you."

"When the tyranny of distance inhibits using the freshest produce you have to make allowances for the dishes you receive from some regional restaurants. 21 Doon seem to have slipped a little from when they first opened but it is still one of the best I've experience from an out of the way town. Prior visits i'd put favourable against some capital city popular eateries"

"Dined here with a walking group, staying at the motel for the night. Took a chance on the Salmon was I happy! It was generous, steaming hot, cooked to perfection, a beautiful meal. From memory, it came with a generous serving of vegies, so...nice in winter. Congrats to the chef!"

"Attached to a service station on the highway, this café offers the usual mix of fried and take-away foods. Nothing fancy but quick and clean. Plenty of parking and you can sit at tables and chairs inside to escape the heat. Alternatively there is a...very nice park complete with railway locomotive and shaded seating nearby."

"Terrible customer service. display prices on the running gear by menu only to say, in the window they are wrong and wanted to load more. declares that the advertised price is that the customer is calculated. manager was just called to say they got new lists and didn't change the board. not my problem. if they weren't right, I should explain it, they should be changed or at least blurred. manager wouldn't knock. whatever happened to the customer is always right."
