"We were pleasantly surprised by the café/bistro, as the setting and cafe itself seemed very nice. Being in Paulliac, we were looking forward to treating ourselves to some nice wine and food. My husband and I ordered steak (the menu did not specify which cut)..., which according to the menu would be served with sauce and mashed potatoes. My son and I preferred to have vegetables on the side rather than potatoes, and that was no problem according to the waiter. What we got was not fresh seasonal vegetables, but chopped veggies straight out of frozen food section in the supermarket still not warmed through. Worse through, was the long hair that n my food (not mine). I couldn’t finish my meal after that. Even though I had lots of food left on my plate, no one bothered to ask if I was happy with the meal. We had chosen a wine, but the waiter suggested we try something else. This wine, although ok, seemed a bit immature having too much tannin. Not that that matters much, but we had expected a bit more being in the midst of one of the the greatest wine producing regions in the world. The restaurant gets two stars due to nice location."

"Bien... sans plus. Restaurant présenté comme simili gastronomique dont les avis sont très élogieux qui nous a déçu. Le service était correct mais pas spécialement agréable. Les plats sont recherchés (truffe d'été dans de nombreux plats) mais sans pour autant que le goût soit au rendez vous. La volaille en sauce était particulièrement sèche par exemple. La terrasse est agréable mais les lattes de bois qui la compose font bouger votre siège à chaque passage des serveurs. À retenter un autre soir pour une meilleure impression. Le patron était absent..."

"Tres bon restaurant, calme, les entrées toutes maison d'ailleurs sont copieuses et délicieuses ! Le principe sur le choix de la viande est originale, de plus elle est excellente ! Cela n'est pas le restaurant ou on peut y aller toutes les semaines( tout dépend du porte monnaie que l on a aussi !) mais de temps en temps pour manger de la bonne viande, Il y a beaucoup de plats maison aussi ce qui est apréciable !!! Service impeccable, serveurs agréable."
