"Almost the first thing the waitress asked was about dietary requirements which she noted and told kitchen staff. When the other waitress came with menus she acknowledged me being coeliac and pointed out what was available on the regular me but also a separate gf/dairy free menu. Food was delicious and the service excellent"

"That is by far the best restaurant in blenheim. it serves proper Italian eating (one of these pizza junket), has great service and a great atmosphere. we have eaten here several times in the last months, and while the decor could be original, eating and service is always excellent. they even managed to fit us on a busy Saturday evening without booking. blenheim is a small town with few good restaurants, but this is one of the best is better than most places they would find in a larger city."

"Wow. This was an amazing experience. We had a wine tasting and the sommelier was great and helpful in giving many insights into the wine we were tasting. He even added one more red wine to the initial list when we told him this was what I prefered! Wines were lovely and we ended up buying a bottle of one of the wine Chardonnay (white, 2020) . We really loved the place and decided to stick around for lunch as well. We took the shared menu at 60pp and that was delicious. Plenty enough for two, we were full before the desert (still, those were so delicious we still hate them). In the end that was a lovely experience and would 100% recommend the place for a wine tasting or even lunch if you have spare time (the garden is great when it's sunny outside). Thanks for having us!"

"I've been visiting Wairau Rivers cellar door/restaurant since the mid 90s and I have never had a bad experience there! Beautiful setting, great wine, friendly staff, and a menu that offers plenty of choice, without being pretentious, and food of very high quality."
