"We were a family group of 13. The owner suggested we reserve for breakfast. They had a table ready for us at 8 am. Coffee was served immediately, orders were taken efficiently. The servings were generous, the pricing excellent. Great place to start your day. We will definitly stop in again if driving through Blind River"

"We stayed here for our first time visiting Blind River and were pleasantly surprised by the attentive service and delicious food at this hotel and restaurant. The hotel is a humble wood building with an old charm to it. The rooms were renovated and were well maintained during our week stay. In addition to the sunset views on the lake, the location of the restaurant right next to our rooms was more than convenient! Although labelled as a sports bar, the food at the Pier Sports Bar easily surpasses most restaurants and pubs we've visited, and is well-prepared with high-quality ingredients. We enjoyed the fish and chips, a large portion of chicken wings, fish tacos, chicken sandwich, and their signature burger. All were well prepared and the sides including their seasoned fries and caesar salad were no less delicious than the entrees! Both the restaurant and hotel are locally owned and family run, which is clearly evident during your stay and/or visit. I would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a hidden gem to visit along the highway. Edit: forgot to mention the reliable and fast internet we had the entire time. Made a big difference!"

"We always order the Kitchen Sink. We have been ordering these Pizzas since they opened in 1989. They are the BEST. I make my own when I’m not around but their pizzas are always better.Parking: Parking can become congested if there is an event going on at the Legion."

"This is the worst food and service experience we’ve had in a long time. It was not busy. We had to ask servers (yes plural) to clean a space for us to sit, after 10 minutes, if we could get a menu, twice. We had...to ask two more people if we could order….then we had to ask (once we had takeout order in hand) if we could get the bill. Nachos were obviously made, then re-baked on a top of “new” tortillas. It was dry and awful. It was absolutely YUCK. We ended up throwing it away. No one knew what they were doing! We will never be back ever again."
