Have shopped at this COSTCO since it opened more than 20 years ago. Never had a bad experience until this past week when going through the self check out. I had six items total and 4 that were heavy. I politely asked the employee standing right next to the scanner if he would use his scanning gun to capture the codes on them. I made sure the codes were all visible and ready to scan.
