In no case should it be possible to avoid the “Muttabal” eggplant: together with sesame paste, garlic, lemon and olive oil in a separate chamber of the smoking oven, fired with wood, whose smoke gives the appetizer this incomparable special aroma. The wines ? Okay . not just cheap, but: I was not aware that in Lebanon such delicate and expressive wines are crocheted: whether Cabernet Sauvignon or Shiraz . singly or in the cuvée with the French grape varieties Grenache or Cinsault . all harmonious!
