We have eaten at SLG numerous times, but our most recent visit was for Valentines Day. The food alone is reason enough to go to SLG, but the service atmosphere are always top notch, and make it feel like a special occasion. The food at the last visit was delicious as always, and presented in a timely manner, allowing us to enjoy our time visiting and yet not feeling rushed at all. The seating was spaced nicely, allow... What Isaac Mohr doesn't like about Saint Lawrence Gridiron:
We sat at the bar and tried to get served. Finally left after about 10 minutes. Just an odd overall experience of being ignored. Disappointed as we were looking forward to some seafood View all feedback.
One of the best in boise, a unique and creative menu and the bbq is great!
Eating overall was good. the pickle board was great, would order definitiw again. brisket sandwich was good, but tends to be a little dry without extra sosty. Not sure why they don't cut the fat off their brisket, although it's good, I had to take my sandwich apart to cut off the half inch fat layer on the meat. Nobody wants to eat all that fat! Moreover, their meat plates are quite expensive, $35 for a bbq platter is quite ridiculous.
Menu was different from what we found on open table, less choice, higher prices. happy prices for the hour advertised at open table were not applicable. service was good, drinks were decent, but the dishes were between terrible and easy ok. court they can order worst they are mac and cheese (we had this for our daughter.) we will not be back.
The restaurant ambiente needs help! the first impression was that it was smokey in there. then the tables and chairs were simply cheap. where we sat, there were stacks of juicy boxes on the level. one of the toilets was closed and they only have one her, so there was always a line. then the toilet was secured in the rest of the bathroom after the dame before me, so I didn't even dare to rinse. they urgently need updating, but if that is not affordable, at least some plants and things that are cheap but can make a difference. the floors were dirty. my mom had to ask her to be wiped when she almost slipped. eating was decent, but not great. what made me the most injustice was that we asked for an iced tea refill to go, and when the waitress hesitated, I pointed out that my mother never got a refill. when she had brought back the cup, she made a point to tell us that she could not expect in the future and that she made one take. Really? it is a 5 cent icy for which they charge $3 dollar! with all the great decisions in the treasure valley there was not much to force me to go back here. probably a first and last time.
Loved the outside area and fireplace to help with a chilly day
