Powder Hound Pizza - Bonner County

The hound is a perfect destination for hungry groups. We stopped in after a day on the boat, and the casual ambiance was perfect for our straight off the water look. We were seated right away on the patio. We ordered 3 salads to share, the kale, Cesar, and Greek the kale was my personal favorite, but all were fantastic. The table shared the Thai chicken pizza, and margherita pizza and both were great. The Thai pizza is so hearty that even the biggest eaters in the group were full after two slices. The girls in the group split the yeti veggie sandwich again delicious. The service was great, laid back, and personable staff. Only down side is that it is not dog friendly even on the patio. We had to sit next to the railing and leave the pup on the sidewalk. Overall everyone in our group had a great experience!

Pizza here is awesome!! Bbq chicken was the bomb, dip in a side of Ranch. Sandwiches not so good, wouldn't order again (turkey and pulled pork). Baked fries so so. It was busy, but it's the summer, they desperately needed another server, food sitting on bar waiting to be served for ten minutes. We never received on of our salads and took twenty minutes to get a 2nd soda. Will try again because of food.

Went to The Hound for lunch during my trip to Sandpoint. The restaurant was very busy during the lunch hour. Patrons seat themselves and the water is self-service. The Spicy Thai pizza was excellent! There is a good ratio of heat from the Sriracha and jalapeno peppers. Portions are generous and a medium pizza was enough for three people. In addition, I had a Ceasar side salad and house red wine. Both paired well with the pizza. The service, however, was left to be desired, and appeared to be limited to one server that my table unfortunately got: Most of her assigned tables were inside with my group's being the only one outside. That said, we got very little attention while tables around us received excellent service! After we left, the group that occupied our table were still waiting to place their orders...at least 30 minutes after we left and got dessert!!

Great pizza if you're in Sandpoint. Very relaxing outdoor patio, and Shauna made the whole experience great with our 2.5 year old, bringing out coloring books and engaging her. Very family oriented : !

I don't prefer their pepperoni pizza but their cheese pizza is AMAZING! It always is warm when u get it and MMMMM my mouth is watering. I would highly recommend going there ONLY for their cheese pizza. Also, the RIBS THO! They are SO GOOD! They are not spicy, and they have a comforting amount of fat and a good about of meat.
