Visiting Boone and decided to try a local breakfast restaurant. Sunrise Grill was closer to us, but did not realize they were closed on Tuesday's. So we decided to check out Melanie's and glad we did!! Seated immediately, love the colorful decor tables, chairs and cloth napkins. Friendly staff, quick service, excellent food, hot fresh coffee, delicious fresh fruit, and homemade apple butter. Recommend and will visit... View all feedback.
What Logan W doesn't like about Melanie's:
We visited Boone this morning and decided to try a local spot for breakfast. Service time was pretty slow. My food was underwhelming and dry. The price is pretty steep for the service and flavor of the food. Not a terrible meal, but not as good as I expected. Really-like a 3.5 of 5. View all feedback.
I became this whole time soy it is vegan it does not order it if ur vegan. otherwise wonderful.
Probably not the best place to go as a vegan, because there are only a few options (and two of then were variations on a tempo scramble,) but the service was great and I have their paul’s tempeh scramble good for a one-time visit if with non-Vegans updated by previous review on 2021-08-06
I had the tempeh storm of paul and the taste was amazing! there were some other options that could be veganized. very nice staff! has gf toast! I was told that they were going to subjugate the vulture, but it was only the deeds minus that one.
This is my favorite lol spot to stop in for breakfast or brunch while in Boone. The tempeh is out of this world and made right here in North Carolina. My favorite thing to order is the tempeh scramble without eggs. Super cozy inside and great coffee too
This is a very popular place in downtown Boone. Come early and be prepared to wait. I recommend the tempeh scramble without the eggs. Excellent! Not an all vegan place but good vegan options.
