The outside seating is ugly and unprepossessing but inside is another world. Pleasant cafe seating and cosier areas with relaxed atmosphere. Staff are smart and friendly. The food menu is limited but what they do is well done - fresh and tasty and that is what we wanted. Can't complain about prices as other reviewers have - we are in the middle of Bordeaux! What User doesn't like about Le Regent:
High prices compared to the rest of Bordeaux let Le Regent down. £12 for a cocktail (£8 in Place du Parlement a few block away and a better setting). The Intercontinental, the push big hotel opposite the Opera, has the same prices as Le Regent and comes with 5 star service. Walk past Le Regent. There's better elsewhere. View all feedback.
Delicious Croque-Monsieur and coffee. Lovely service.
Good offer, fast and correct service. Warm cheese salad ok. Big offer. Prices above average, but nice locatio n
A place to visit mainly for its location. Usually busy, the place lets you experience a busy coffee atmosphere. Breakfast was alright, the service a bit chaotic, and it was a bit overpriced.
Perfect location, ok prices and friendly staff. Unfortunately we had wer glasses so that the mixer drips while you drink on your shirt..
Worst experience of my life. The food looked like it was picked out of a garbage bag, and the taste was in line with the appearance... The toilets were so dirty and smelly of urine that I couldn't even go in there due to fear of throwing up. Asked 7 times for the bill, it took 20-25 min. Absolutely shocking experience.
