Absolute perfection! In our opinion the best restaurant experience in Boston…a real French Bistro. We stopped in for lunch and had a marvelous white wine, fromage plate and my husband and I both had the lightest most delicious Dover Sole perfectly sautéed in caper butter and deboned table side. We booked on OpenTable for LaVoile but because of confusion between that, and it’s upstairs wine bar, which OpenTable made to look like the same thing (Bar a Vin is less formal and “tighter” it was the upstairs wine bar or nothing, so that’s the last time I will ever book on OpenTable for anything. Appetizers were awesome. Definitely try the escargot. Unfortunately, the main course was underwhelming. My steak was cooked slightly over done.

When the weather is good you can also be served outside, and there's a counter where you can sit down and enjoy. The guest room invites you to linger and extensively eat.
